Child Dentistry Services at Alamo Ranch Dental

young boy and mom meeting dentist for child dentistry servicesWe believe the foundation for healthy teeth begins early in life with child dentistry services in San Antonio, TX. For our youngest patients, we begin with a “happy visit” to introduce them to the office. Whether you have babies, toddlers, children or teenagers, we hope to establish the habits and routines that encourage parents and children to set the foundations of dental health.

We hope to see children excited about their visits for child dentistry services. At Alamo Ranch Dental, we are passionate about dental education to our youngest audiences. We teach good oral habits that we hope can establish a lifetime of healthy teeth and gums.

Listen, we are realists too! Our own children love snacks and desserts as much as any other children, so we’re not here to nag, but to hopefully plant some good dental-care seeds!

  • Our doctor and dental practice team are kid-friendly
  • Prizes to motivate care
  • Nitrous oxide (laughing gas) optional
  • Dentistry offered without shots (if possible)
  • Dentistry offered with DentalVibe
  • A gentle touch and no fear approach

Children are sometimes easier to work on than adults, so long as the adults or older siblings have not transferred their own dental fears to the child. Most children will have a positive experience during child dentistry services and we will certainly make every effort to make the child comfortable.

However, children that require extensive care, or that are otherwise unable to participate in routine dental care, will be referred to a pediatric specialist. We do not restrain or sedate children for care. Alamo Ranch Dental welcomes new patients to our office at age 6 and up.

We will also be checking temperatures of patients and staff, practicing social distancing in our waiting room areas, and limiting additional visitors/guardians to one per patient. Thank you to our loyal patients for your patience and understanding.
